"Great room with a sea view. Short walk to the Midway and the Seaport Village. Friendly staff. We used the brilliant airport shuttle to and from San Diego airport, drivers were very friendly. A little dated but room was clean and spacious and ideal for a stop off between flights. Would stay there again."
"Great little place to stay. We went to sea world from Orange County and I didn’t want to drive back at night so we stayed just for the night. Room is just what you would expect. The highlight was the heated pool. San Diego is always cold at night so it was perfect for the kids."
"Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The shower had a large gap in the door, causing water to leak all over the bathroom floor and outside the bathroom entrance every time it was used. We had to call every day for extra towels just to clean up the water. While staff provided towels, no one ever acknowledged the issue or offered even a simple apology for the inconvenience.
It seemed like this was a known problem, yet it was never mentioned or addressed during our stay. Additionally, the room lacked a main overhead light, so the only lighting came from a few wall lamps, making the room feel quite dark.
Parking was another frustration. At $40 per night, I expected a more convenient experience, but parking was extremely limited and often difficult to find.
Overall, while the hotel had some positives, the lack of attention to guest concerns, poor communication, and additional parking expense made the stay feel less enjoyable than expected."
"We came to SD for our daughter’s graduation and commissioning. We had the ocean view villa. Our room was spacious and had an excellent view of the bay. Staff was always pleasant and helpful with requests. The only negative was the room had a musty smell and we were so busy I didn’t think to mention until last day. The staff quickly tried to remedy the smell . The last day the bathroom toilet was leaking sewer smells as the toilet was loose and rocked. That was the camel that broke the camels back as it forced me to call and complain. Which the staff acted quickly and fixed the rocking toilet .
Overall we really enjoyed our stay there and would come back."
