"We found this place on hotels.com and it is the second place in a row that has been a home run. The room was a great deal at around $200 per night. Breakfast is included and it is quite a spread. Service there is impeccable! Good location to access museums (10-15 min each way). Piazza Maggiore is also 15 min away. All our spots for apertivo and dinner were 10-15 minutes. Check out Trattoria del Rosso and Taverna dei Peccati for dinner. If you like being seen for aperitivo check out Zerocinquantino. The hotel has a nice quiet back patio. Fun place for drinks if you are tired and don't want to leave the property. The bed (king) was comfortable. Bathroom worked well. We had one of rhe smallest rooms on property and it was still perfect."

"Disclaimer - I usually stay at boutique hotels and was coming from one when I arrived in Bologna. Upon arrival I was very nervous. The hotel is very historic so the lobby looks old. The room (I was in a “suite”) while was large and well equipped, was also very historic. With that though, I actually liked the hotel. There are no luxury amenities, but there’s not supposed to be. The staff was friendly, hotel was clean and very well situated. There’s a bar next door so bring ear plugs (common in Italy). The breakfast was excellent! For the price point this hotel was very good and I’d stay here again."
