Room in overall good condition with a kitchenette for simple meal prep. Very close to Yumbo. Loud music at the pool all the time, not best for relaxing. Overall good service.

The hotel is very tired. It’s in need of a proper refurbishment. So many small niggles everywhere, bad air con, apartment fridge full of minibar drinks with no space for your things, broken cooking extractor fan, plastic chairs that don’t fit under the table, etc etc It all make the overall experience feel pretty cheap. Even the small pool is disintegrating. Location is good, people were pretty friendly including staff. Breakfast was very average. I won’t return in its current state.

Great location , amazing staff and very clean , lovely breakfast , really big rooms with separate bedrooms , just a bit tired and dated , rooms don’t come with a kettle but I asked and was given one immediately , shame aircon only in lounge area not bedroom I found it too hot even leaving door open to bedroom and it wasn’t summer time ! I had an accident and had to go to hospital , staff on reception really helpful sorting which hospital to use and a taxi ! Only thing pre travel is I had lots of messages on Expedia from the hotel about choosing rooms etc and they were all in Spanish !

I like the Axel for the vibe. While the rooms could use a little refresh, the place is clean, the gym is well appointed and the pool area is great to hang out around. The staff are friendly in every department I encountered- housekeeping, pool, reception. As always I like its commitment to its queer clientele.

We were very happy with our stay at Axel Beach - friendly staff (and friendly guests), good buffet breakfast to start the day off, ideal location for Yumbo and also a good location generally. Our room (balcony/garden view) was spacious, had everything we needed and it was good to have a bedroom separate to the lounge and kitchenette. Hopefully we'll be back to Gran Canaria and we would definitely stay at Axel Beach again!

Amazing 10 day stay at Axel Beach, as it always is. Aythomi super accommodating to us on arrival, room super clean, cleaning staff are amazing! Shout out to the two guys serving at the pool bar, really great facilities and you really can whatever holiday you want here, had chance to be sociable, but also have some alone time. We have come back many times over the years to Axel Beach, and will continue to do so! Well done on having the great foundations, but even more so for having such brilliant staff.

We had room only The rate was excellent - the room was as described Went for cheaper road side option which was lovely as it got the sun after the pool lost it The beds are large and comfortable And there is a seperate living area and kitchenette There’s ample sun loungers and reasonable prices cabanas My only criticism would be that it would be nice to have the fridge cleared of chargeable items so you could use it with a supermarket shop I would happily stay again Thank you axel beach
