Sawami was okay. Our Suite included a balcony with an amazing water view and a large window overlooking a marina. The free buffet breakfast was delicious and offered many food options. After visiting the restaurant at the beautiful Aquamare, I considered changing hotels, as Aquamare is located in a better area, and the restaurant was amazing.

Overall, the hotel was decent. The best aspects were the location, the buffet, and the swimming pool. Unfortunately, the hotel—especially the room—was not very clean. I took a few photos showing how mouldy some parts of the toilet were. They really need to fix the ventilation system. All the staff were lovely, except for the lady at the reception. Her cocky attitude definitely takes some points off the hotel review.

This hotel is very nice and modern. It seems its new and they are still figuring out some things, like power electricity for the whole building and hot water. Both failed some days during our stay.

Reception was not nice and made no attempt to speak English or slowly. Rooms have auto off electric so you can not charge anything unless you are in the room. Shower was only like water. My room was right next to the elevator on a low floor. Breakfast was ok. There was no free parking and no gym. Location was okay and there was molios for rent in front of the hotel. The restaurant nextdoor was really good.

The AC worked like a charm and for me this was of primary importance. The food at the hotel was delicious and some of the staff (not all) was very pleasant in particular Gina. Very sweet! However, in the island everyone from the taxi driver to the servers in different restaurants are extremely rude and have no customer service. The island people treat the tourist like trash. The island is relatively expensive for the treatment you get as a tourist. This island is one of those places you visit only once. The beauty of the ocean is amazing!!!! Never seen an ocean like San Andrés. However, the island itself is super dirty, the airport is horrible and the infrastructure is about to collapse. Be careful!!! And by the way they drive like savages! However if you Can go for 2 days I suggest you go. No more than that because it will be torture.
