"We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Marina Inn. It’s a cute and newly renovated hotel with a very convenient location. It’s very clean, interior is tastefully decorated and staff is amazing. The breakfast is continental but a bit more variety than expected. We also enjoyed the cookie jar with fresh chocolate chip cookies available all day as well as coffee in the kitchen/reception area. Special thanks to Samantha at the front desk for being very friendly and kind. "

"Honestly I made the reservation before reading the reviews but did read them as I was on the way there and it made me nervous. As I went to the front desk it was around 9:30pm and there was no one there, waited about 10 minutes and someone finally made it to the counter. I was checked in by two people and one was very nice and the other one was strictly business with zero customer service skills but you can tell this is just how they are, straight business. "The staff was very helpful on my first night checking in, it was close to midnight after driving up from Oregon and I did not know how to get into the lobby/hotel so I called the number and they told me how to get into the lockbox to get my key out! "Poor layout... no bathroom on first floor...windows left wide open in bedroom (unbeknownst to me hidden by blinds so freezing all night). Only one railing for exposed stairwell. Stains and dirt everywhere (including insect infiltration behind the microwave which itself was connected to an exposed broken plug which is a fire hazard). Poorly maintained (plaster all over bathroom; doors stained). Kitchen was dirty (I couldn't use the sponge as it was smelly and disgusting). Batteries missing in...

"This was a comfortable room in a very well kept place full of friendly employees. We had an awesome view of the bay. Food was pricey but delicious, and service was great. There's frequent trains that go by, but they don't use their horns in this area. I was quite pleased with the railfan opportunities, and it didn't bother us in the least. If it has been an issue, I could have used the earplugs they provide in the room. Parking was touch and go, and at the mercy of what was open on the street or...
