Hello Kenneth, I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay at our hotel, but I am so glad you took the time to write, because it always gives us and opportunity to explain certain things, so that future guests can benefit. Our hotel IS small, has only ONE pool (sorry) and is AWAY (2 miles) from down town Samara - in a very peaceful setting. These are all points we specify AT THE VERY BEGINNING of our internet site, and the majority of people that stay here are looking for exactly this. Regarding massages and excursions, unfortunately are too small to do anything in house, and rely therefore rely on what is available in Samara. If our usual masseur who charges 40 is not available, we will call other masseurs to try and help you - but they may have different rates. Regarding tours, Samara has many tours available and if you ask me, it is only good business practice to ask for a min amount of people in order to run the tour. At the beginning of the season, when there are still few tourists, it can happen that the quorum is not met, but we never know until the very end.And regarding your comments about the staff member who asked you to put your glass down, all I can do is apologize and hope the issue was due to translation. Generally speaking our staff is very friendly. Once again, we are TRULY sorry your expectations were not met. Naturally this is not what we want to hear as we DO really care that you have a good time with us.

Yes we remember this couple. They arrived to the hotel already fighting in the car. The lady did not get out. The man did, and asked to cancel his non refundable room. Our receptionist, merely doing his job, said it was not possible as it was a non refundable discounted booking. The man got angry and aggressive, threatening to write a bad review if we did not refund him. Our receptionist was alone and acted accordingly. What these clients did is non acceptable. At the risk of decreasing our rating, we will not succumb to bad behavior and the threat of receiving a bad review.

....Google translator did not do a very good job in translating. I wonder if in real life the same issue existed as none of our staff speak German?, In any case, we are sorry you did not enjoy your stay despite you liking the room and the cleaning staff. Our goal is to please, so perhaps things just got lost in translation? We are, as you confirm, 300 mts from the beach, but I would not consider the road 'dangerous', especially if you compare it to European cities. The fact that you have to walk 20 minutes to find some shade on the beach is a slight exageration as their are palm trees as soon as you arrive. Perhaps it was just not what you were expecting?
