"Very convenient walk from the Ferry dock. Room was just what we needed. The bathroom could use a bit of an update, but the restaurant is under renovation so it will soon look great I bet."

"The room and property were beautiful and well kept. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The bar was not staffed in the evening and so we drove into town. "

"The staff at the Brit were extremely welcoming and the hotel room was clean and comfortable. Disappointed we were not able to have a hot drink in the room. Despite there being a kettle and tea/coffee they only provided small shot glasses for drinks which was extremely odd! There was also no fridge in the room which we needed to keep milk for our baby. "

"This is the second time we’ve stayed here when travelling on the Caen ferry and arriving late, and it was lovely. The family rooms are very comfortable and uniquely decorated. Buffet breakfast is easy and quick. There’s a lovely garden for the kids to run around "

"This is a very comfortable hotel. We stayed a second time as a couple, to use as a base to visit WW2 sites. Ideal. The staff are very welcoming. Great breakfast available, evening meal if requested. Bar. Near the sea with several restaurants near by, check opening times out of season. Highly recommended."

"Beautiful Chateau, wonderful food in both restaurants and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. It really was a perfect stay and a great base for visiting the main WW2 sites."

"No elevator, usually it says in the description of the property, they left that out. Showers were very small, and bed was lumpy. Breakfast was skimpy, but at least they had fresh squeezed orange juice, but it wasn’t worth what they charged."

"Right next to the port. Really clean rooms, particularly the bathrooms. Very helpful. Stayed one night after getting off the late ferry from Portsmouth. I had a problem with my car getting off the ferry. I had to hire a car for my onward journey. The hotel let me use their car park (which was secure and safe - Gated) to store my car until I came back to catch the ferry a few days later. They arranged a taxi for me to the airport to pick up the hire car. I cannot thank them enough for letting me...
