We booked for bed only, when we arrived we were informed we had paid for bed and breakfast via Expedia. We only wanted yo pay for bed as we were meeting our family for a birthdsy breakfast st their hotel. Not impressed with Expedia

Nice hotel with pleasant communal areas, pool, well equipped gym. Our room was really large and had been decorated recently. The building dates from Victorian times but kept clean and up to date. Would return.

there seem to be an atmosphere with the staff. none looked happy and seemed they didn't want to be doing their job. stayed in room 202 but the shower did not work properly and the mirror light did not work

It is very good value for money and it is dog friendly,a great hotel for touring North Wales and the staff were great

The property is quiet and clean. Staff made sure we have clean towels and toiletries resupplied everyday. Staff are friendly specially the waiter who served us in the restaurant.

Diane at reception was great, very friendly and helpful. Bedside tables were very dusty. Mattress needs replacing, not very comfortable. Did not sleep well.

Stay here several times per year; visiting family nearby. Room and bathroom spacious; loads of hot water for shower/bath. Restaurant food very good and substantial breakfast.

Nice place, clean but rooms a bit dated, especially the bathroom. Evening meal good but breakfast poor; it felt as if it had been cooked hours beforehand. Also, the front door continually banging loudly until quite late was very disturbing

Great location on outskirts of St Asaph, convenient and good value for money. The staff were charming and perhaps a little short-handed as some waiting involved. Recommend and will return when next in the area.

Good hotel if you want to stay with your dog.
Dog friendly to say the least!! We felt the odd ones out, without a dog. Unfortunately, we had a yapping dog next door. The hotel needs a little TLC. It feels like it could do with a lick of paint and some new carpets. When you do the carpets, spend some time refixing the floorboards down, so they don’t creak as much. Location wise it was good, with easy access to the North Wales tourist towns. The reception staff were lovely at check-in (poor lady had completely lost her voice) and check-out; however, the overnight staff were over the top unhelpful. One-word answers and made us feel that we were asking for the earth with any request. These two gents need a little customer service training. Breakfast was OK to good, but with very anaemic sausages and no eggs on Monday, it was let down. The breakfast staff were spot on and extremely helpful and responsive. We had a good time overall in the area, but would not stop here again.

Pleasant room, nice & clean. Unfortunately we were at the front of the property & the main road is fairly close & used like a race track by the locals. The breakfast was lovely as was the staff.

Starters were cold in the middle. Clearly no temperature prong used. Frozen product deep fried in a hurry. Husband found plastic in his dessert. No offer to take off the bill. Mum's room freezing on arrival. Window open and radiator switched off. Hotel was tired and shabby. Receptionist helpful. Breakfast was ok.

Staff very friendly, hotel itself was pet friendly but our dog could only go into one part of the hotel witch wasn't ideal.

Nice hotel, breakfast is made to order and is very good. Coffee from self service pot was cold though. Bathroom in room had some spots with mold that needs attention but overall a good hotel and worth the money

Lovely hotel. Both evening meal and breakfast were very nice. Room was spacious, beds comfy and we enjoyed the pool during the stay.
