"Convenient to many interesting and beautiful places in Chicago. The hotel was well maintained and the staff was attentive and efficient."

"The hotel was great, my only problem was the pillows. There were 2 pillows for each person, these were feather pillows. These two pillows flattened down, felt like your head was on the mattress, no support. I had to fold up two towels to put under them, but it didn't help. I went down to ask for more pillows, foam pillows, and was told there are no extra pillows at all in the hotel. I would think for $300 a night, and $72 for parking, the hotel could invest in some decent pillows."

"The staff was fantastic. Our plane arrived late, we were starving, didn’t know where to go or even have a plan, and the staff jumped right in and directed us to the perfect place: Portillo’s. They came up with lots of great suggestions that fit exactly what we wanted to do and where to eat. The rates were very reasonable, it’s situated in the middle of downtown, lots of restaurants on the same block, and plenty of Chicago nightlife. I would definitely stay there again."

"The only good thing this property has going for it is its location. Everything else was very subpar. The price seemed nice online and going into it you get charged an arm and a leg for every little thing on the “snack bar” in the room. $20+ for a little thing of chocolates as small as a small bag of M&M’s that cost barely $3 and no prices shown anywhere except at checkout to snag that ridiculous “deposit.” And more hidden charges and fees, oh and the fees get taxed 3 times as well… On top of that our room had a huge hole on the wall below the thermostat “covered” by a huge plank that was leaning on the wall - ghetto. The room had a door that leads to nothing but a wall immediately behind it, you can clearly tell it used to be a much bigger room and they took the cheap way out to make more profit and making more rooms… Overall very dissatisfied with the whole stay. Uncomfortable bed and pillows, etc… Be upfront about prices and maybe include them in the online pricing and not be sketchy to grab extra customers with “good prices.” Do not recommend."

"Had a pretty great stay. Everything was really nice. Only complaint was how slow the elevators were but I assume it’s bc of the age of the building. The towels in my room were brand spanking new so it did have a lot of fuzz. Overall though, this hotel was great and it’s in a really good location. The bus stops were only a two minute walk and there’s a famous pizza spot and bagel spot next door. Will be staying again"
