"Our room was immediately above the kitchen and the extractor fan was turned on at 6 in the morning, vibrating through the building. We had occasion to complain about noise of "techno" music from a speaker in the kitchen on one occasion and the matter was resolved immediately"

"Modern hotel - nice reception area and nice looking restaurant that served average food with poor service. Room was small and poorly laid out - strange desk area and chair inhibited movement and made it difficult to move suitcases around. Good shower. Worst aspect was dinner experience - food was ok and service a bit patronising about what we should be ordering as extras. Paid the bill and left only to be sent a bill on the journey home saying we owed money for a dinner bill. I rang them to...

"Nice older-style hotel with helpful friendly staff. Room a bit small and overlooked by house opposite but other facilities very good. Relaxing lounge, very pleasant garden area, very nice restaurant serving excellent breakfast and convenient parking."

"Comfortable clean room. Nice breakfast. Good value for money"

"Really liked staying in a 356 year old hotel/pub. It was probably my favorite place on our 1 month journey in the UK. It was close to town and had very friendly staff. It was unique and I really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely come back."

"I stayed one knight for business. So close from the Brighton station. My room was large enough and cosy. I was very pleased that a hotel clerk was able to recognise me when I came back to pick up my luggage I had left after check out. I would say you can’t expect a lovely breakfast."

"Enjoyable stay"

"Great stay here - we arrived around 20:00 on a horrible stormy Saturday and were greeted and checked in cheerfully and quickly. Room was small but had everything we needed. We had dinner in the pub and that was a genuinely lovely, I'd go back here again just for a meal. Portions were generous and the food was delicious. There's a few games and things in the bar, and they came in very handy when there was a brief power cut (it was Boelo, it was very windy). Emma quickly handed out candles for...

"Lovely hotel , welcoming and helpful staff Had meal in restaurant was amazing and breakfast was good and lots of it with good choices would recommend staying"

"My son loved that there was Disney plus as a bonus. However our shower didn't work and I had to ask to use the one next door. 3x a member of staff came to try it, the last time we were in bed and no it still wasn't working. No compensation of any kind was offered, not even a free dessert after we had paid for dinner. Bathroom was a bit grubby and there was just a piece of foam under the sheet and no mattress protector. Breakfast was OK but no offer of fruit, cereal or juice. Had to ask for a...

"Small hotel, well kitted out rooms, very helpful and friendly staff. Sea view rooms have great views of the sea and the pier. Short walk to the beach or the shopping areas and The Lanes. Have stayed there many times and never disappointed. Only thing to be aware of is"

"Poor quality bed. Gym isn’t open the hours advertised on Expedia etc. overpriced bar"
