We stayed one night for our Anniversary, and the stay was so peaceful. The grounds are beautiful, the staff so nice, and the main house is amazing. We definitely plan on making this an annual thing!
Beautiful inn, staff is friendly, beautiful location and friendly dogs but since we were there in the off season the town Rock hall wasn’t very interesting
Wonderful! Quiet and relaxing anniversary! Pool was great, dock is beautiful, room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Water bottles and cookies are such a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious. Amazing property and genuine hosts. Thank you
This place was awesome. My wife and I stayed here during their slower season. My wife and I got our cottage room upgraded free of charge. The staff was extremely friendly and the supply of alcohol is a great touch! The property is huge and the three dogs on the property are very good at their job and very friendly. Honestly I have zero complaints. The tv wiring had crossed wires with the fireplace or something because the volume would turn off the fireplace as well, but that was such a minor thing for the overall fantastic experience. And idk if I said it, but friendly staff!
The Pond cottage is lovely. The high stools on the floor are slippery and I almost fell out of one. Would prefer a low chair and table. The cottage is well apportioned and most comfortable. The porch with chairs is a nice plus. The grounds are wonderful. We do not prefer a breakfast set up where all guests must show at the same time and wait in line for serving themselves. But otherwise it is a wonderful Inn.
We had a great stay at this nice inn. It is exactly what we are looking for: a quiet place on the eastern shore surrounded by nature. The cottage (one of seven) is spacious and well appointed. The bed is very comfortable. The tranquility of sitting on the back porch looking at the golden sunset beyond the vast field and tree line!! We took many walks across the 70 plus acre property to the shore and just absorbed the peace and sound of the wind blowing over the water. It’s amazing. The living room in the main house has the feel of an old manor house room. It’s stocked with old books and free cookie, soda, beer, wine and fruits. We really enjoyed the breakfast chat with the host Jim who has an air of a gentleman farmer and shared with his guests interesting local stories. We also very much appreciate the good communication from the owners who sent multiple texts about arrival time, breakfast time etc, a sign of a well-managed operation. We will definitely return to this place.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The owners and staff were very courteous and nice. The room layout was great and thoughtfully designed and decorated.
A quiet and relaxing stay on a beautiful property! We were met by 2 lovely and extremely well mannered labs. The chocolate lab even joined us on a walk to the dock. We stayed in a cabin and spent time on our deck listening to the birds. My Merlin Bird ID app picked up 30 different bird species! The pool was refreshing and we took advantage of that on 2 hot days. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We just wish our trip had been longer.
This was a last minute booking due to confusion with previous plans, but what a surprise! This is by far the most beautiful place we have stayed. The owners are lovely and the dogs make you feel right at home.
We are already planning a return!
The Inn at Huntingfield Creek is clean, well-appointed and peaceful. Management communicated prompty via texts. The Inn serves breakfast. We were looking forward to it on Sunday, in the well-appointed and cozy main lodge but, much to our dismay, the food ran out, or so we were told. Beakfast was wrapped up in an hour (served from 830 to 930 am) and we missed it. It would have been nice to get a cup of coffee and something light to enjoy on a lazy Sunday but we missed out. Other than this minor gripe, the Inn is delightful.
For $245, before tax, a night, I expected charming. What I got was cramped, outdated, and unwelcoming.
Let’s start with the room itself: imagine a space so compact that the shower could barely fit a person (I’m not a huge guy, but bending down to wash my legs was physically impossible—so sink bath it was!). The stairs leading up? Pure dollhouse architecture. And forget controlling the temperature—no a/c access from the room, just a relic of a fan that looked like it survived Y2K.
I splurged on a nice bottle of wine and chocolates, bill now over $300, to make the stay special, but there wasn’t even a proper table to enjoy them at. Just a couple of tired old chairs that screamed “sit somewhere else.”
Breakfast was another letdown. Served at 8:30, we arrived at 8:45 to find the buffet already decimated—just some bacon scraps and five lonely pieces of potato. Apparently, planning for all their guests wasn’t on the agenda.
The atmosphere? Ice cold. The owners sat at our breakfast table without so much as a “good morning.” Maybe my post-sink-bath aroma kept them at bay (I had to wait until we reached Philly for a real shower), but the overall vibe was stand-off-ish and uncomfortable. Even my wife, who managed the shower just fine, felt the same way.
To be fair, the grounds were beautifully maintained, but for that nightly rate? I’ll be sticking to 4-star hotels. At least I know they prepare breakfasts for ‘all’ their guests.
We had a wonderful time at the Inn at Huntingfield Creek. The owners were kind and helpful with recommendations for things to do in the area. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a nice breakfast at the Inn on our first day and then were given vouchers for coffee and breakfast in town the next two days of our stay. The owners dogs were charming and it was fun to walk the property with them. Rock Hall is a cute and charming town. We were looking for a relaxing getaway and were very happy with our time at the Inn.
The Inn at Huntingfield Creek is amazing! The room was spacious and comfortable with a large bath. My husband and I enjoyed the library for a quiet place to relax with a book and a glass of wine. The grounds are beautiful with walking paths and a private dock on the bay. The weekend breakfast is delicious and we also took advantage of Java Rock in town. I would give this B&B 10 stars if I could. We look forward to our next stay at the Inn.
We were updated to a cottage (#1) from the main house....what a treat! Mariela was so kind and helpful. The first night the hot water wouldn’t fill the tub, but she called a plumber and I had a tub full of hot water the next day! This was such a wonderful place to stay! Quiet, so many cozy public spaces, free cookies, super comfortable bed, lovely places to walk and Rosie the dog adopted us as our escort to the dock and around the pond. The heated tile floor in the bathroom was so nice. Best vacation spot ever! Mariela cooked a wonderful breakfast the first day, and we had breakfast at Java Rock in town the next day which was delicious too! Would highly recommend!
We loved everything about our stay here! I was super excited because my husband had never agreed to stay in a B & B but that will forever be changed because of the Inn at Huntingfield Creek. The atmosphere was so relaxing and peaceful with plenty of room to roam.
Food was exceptional and we strongly recommend a Saturday night stay so you can experience JoAnn's blueberry bread pudding which was the best thing ever. Fresh fruit (and lots of it) was offered every morning with bacon, sausage, eggs and wonderful bread not to mention juices and coffee. The owners are so fun to hang out with at breakfast and make getting up early (breakfast at 8:30) something to look forward to.
We loved the town of Rock Hall and found many great restaurants to enjoy as well. There plenty to do and see, a comfortable bed to sleep in at night in quiet and peaceful rooms.
The best part? Well, for me, Laura, it was Rosie. She is one of the owner's four very well behaved dogs - I love them all but she is something special and if I could've gotten her out in my suitcase, well, I'd never be able to return to the Inn so we left her behind. We will go back time and time again and we're already talking about when we might be able to do so next fall.
This is a 5 star place that you don't want to miss if you're up in that area! Thanks to ALL of you for making our stay so fun.
