Loved this hotel and stayed twice. Ivan at the front desk was the best. The rooftop pool was always quiet and great to hang around at.

Had a great stay at this hotel and keen to come back. The pool was lovely, the breakfast plentiful, cocktails delicious and well priced - just under 30 for a caprihinia. Good location for sunset or dinner options. Best of all were the staff who were super friendly and helpful, really appreciated them.

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet excellent. The location is convenient to both Copacabana and Ipanema. My only quibble is the room did not contain a trash can and the bed was slightly lopsided. Otherwise this was pleasant stay.

Ok Option for Carnivale

It was a decent location near transportation and a good walk to beach. Breakfast options didnt change much and there was often no seating and running out of some of the foods but we were there during Carnivale when extra busy. This place was a good price during this time but i would choose elsewhere if i came again.

Staff is very friendly. We felt welcome as soon as we walked into the hotel. Room is nice and clean. Only downside is that you can hear the toilet flushing and shower running from neighboring rooms. Great location with plenty of food options. Walking distance to the beach.

The hotel is dated and tired, but worth the price we paid. We had hot tub suite (e.g. jacuzzi bath, not an actual hot tub). The room was huge, but stripped of everything. No artwork, two plastic cups, worn corners, stained upholstery, not even a cork screw. It felt abandoned. With a little care it could actually be very cool because it’s so vintage that it’s almost back in style. Jacuzzi bath was nice, but all of the shampoo and conditioner was bolted to the wall in the shower… so if you wanted an actual bath you had to run back and forth between the two for soap. Front desk staff was friendly, but a little old school with the hard sell on tours and restaurant recommendations that are clearly tourist joints they have an agreement with. Also clearly an organized tour group stop, so the lobby area was often full of luggage and large groups of people waiting to board a bus. Great location though, and affordable.

A good stay 8/10

The location of the hotel is pretty nice, at least for us, not far from the beaches (3 of them). Close to Subway aswell. The hotel is a bit old and dated, one of the lifts was not working, but everything was pretty clean. Room was ok, decent beds, but def not the best i’ve slept at. No soundproof at all so if you want to sleep and there are noisy guests around (our case) you are in trouble. Staff was good but could have dealt with our problem mencioned earlier in a better way, despite my wife telling them that plenty of times (like 3 at least). Breakfast was pretty good.

Room was only ready 1.5 hours after check in time. Bathtub had black mold in it. We were moved to another room because of this but that room had no soap in the bathroom, safe was not reset and the room smelled liked chemicals. Breakfast was decent. Staff took my concerns but didn’t do anything about it. Would not recommend.

Unfortunately the hotel os very old and is in very poor condition. The bathroom had black mold in the grout and had a smell of sewerage. Our A/C unit leaked water and was extremely loud so we had to change rooms. The next room had a plugged toilet…. Fortunately the front desk people were very accommodating. I’m guessing they are doing some renovations because we could hear the very loud sound of tools and workers early in the morning. The location and water pressure were the only positives and of course good staff. We would not stay here again and it hurts me to write this but I have to be honest about our stay. No value here considering the price.

Decent hotel in a good area. Could be improved.

The hotel is a little bit run down. Front desk staff was friendly. Breakfast was nice. Selection for dinner was a bit fast food-ish. The room - well, the beds are not much more than a piece of plywood with a sheet. Super hard and uncomfortable. My body was aching all week. Other than that, it is clean and the bathrooms are nice. Close to Copacabana Beach and we felt safe in the area.
