Decent place to stay that had easy access to Copacabana beaches and day tours throughout the city. Not the most comfortable, but it was fine. You were paying more for the location than the amenities - it's not a hotel you stay at all day, but it's perfectly fine and safe as a home base to go into Rio

Fantastic hotel that could easily be a 4 star. Very clean, nice rooms, great staff. Breakfast in the morning was always really good & a few minutes walk to the Copacabana. Highly recommended for any stay in Rio.

Great stay with good location and breakfast

Location was great. 7 min to Copacabana beach. The breakfast was simple and really good. Every morning it was fresh and they had plenty. The orange juice selection was amazing. The people working there is polite, friendly, and helpful, thank you! The room was fine and the bed good. I would book here again without hesitation.

The hotel rooms are so dirty the walls and sheets are all cover with dirt and stains The washrooms has mold all around the shower and the toilet seat was so old and stained with yellow color The contains was not even washed and clean Dust on the desk and cupboard In general the his hotel has cleaning issues and not sure u fee what terms they got 4 stars

I did not enjoyed my stay here at all. The building and deco is old and need updating. Location is great and the only brownie point. I wouldn't choose to stay there again . Towels and bedding clean but so old that from white went to almost grey

Very loud and in poor condition.

Very loud from the street - it sounded like the window was open at all times, when it wasn’t. The hotel is a time capsule from another time, which is a bit charming, but also is visible everywhere in terms of condition of the hotel. The pool is tiny and not very clean or fresh. The laundry is the most expensive service ever (they charge per item and not per wash/kg) and besides one very serviceminded man, the rest of the front desk staff was not very friendly. Check out was horrible! The only good thing is the location, which is fine. I would choose another hotel next time.

Worst facility and unreasonable service. The air conditioner in our room did not work property and it was very hot and humid inside. We asked the reception to change the room, but they declined due to the availability issue. They asked us to come back next morning. As a result we didn't sleep at all on that night. Next morning the reception declined our request again, saying they needed more time to clean up rooms. As a result we ended up waiting until 14:00 without sleeping. In the new room we couldn't sleep much due to the noise by neighbor guests. It was 02:30AM. We called the reception and asked them to communicate the problem to the guest, they agreed to call the guest. but phone never rang and the noise didn't stop until 04:00AM. The worst hotel experience ever. Can't believe this is 4 starred hotel.
