"The building is a beautiful and charming example of colonial Spanish architecture, complete with two enclosed "courtyards". The complimentary breakfast included eggs with choice of veggies and preparation, yogurt with copious fresh fruit and granola, a selection of fresh breads, fresh squeezed fruit juice, and choice of delicious coffee or hot chocolate. The staff members were very friendly and helpful; most spoke English, all spoke Spanish. The location was within several minutes walking distance of the center of the Historic District (restaurants, cathedrals, museums, markets).Our room was small but we managed nicely with creative use of the closet, bedside tables, and bathroom storage. "Close to historic center. Nice small apartment with kitchen. If you're not used to Cuenca, be prepared for cold nights and no hotel has heaters. Unfortunately there was a couple of smoke detectors that kept beeping all night throughout the hotel. They do offer an included friendly breakfast at a nearby hotel restaurant. "

"The place is amazing I highly recommend! The food and the staff are also very comfortably welcoming. If you live nature this is the spot for you! However, I went for my cousins wedding and I booked THE PRESIDENTIAL room since most of the brides family was going to be coming into my room for hair and makeup. We needed the extra room. On the contrary I got a junior suite. My suite number was 218, which was way small than what I asked AND PAID FOR. My room only had 1 bathroom instead of the 2 individual bathrooms that was advertised by Expedia. "
