Hotel Jägerhof

"Zermatt is a beautiful Village in Switzerland. This hotel was only about a 4 minute walk to the town center. Booked late. So they only had a room to accommodate 3 people, which was nice to have the extra space, for 2 people. Was on the first floor. Room 106, unfortunately a view of really nothing. Breakfast was good, but they charge 3 CHF per egg if you want an omelette or a fried egg instead of the scrambled eggs provided. It was still a very good breakfast. Staff were friendly and they provided complimentary shuttle service to and from the train station. TV in the room has live web cams of the mountain weather. No AC in rooms, but this was not an issue even in August, since Zermatt is at an elevation of 5,300 feet and is always 10 degrees F cooler then other cities in Switzerland."

"Very nice and cozy hotel that is pretty much right across the train station. Everything is great: the staff, the location, the breakfast. The only thing is that the hallway carpet needs to be changed"

"The hotel staff were welcoming, and made dinner and cab reservations for us. The hotel has a lovely Swiss vibe, and we had a clear view of the Matterhorn from our room. Had a terrific experience at this hotel."

"Didn't have sign where to go for breakfast as we went down stairs for breakfast and it was closed. Good thing there is a lady there and she told us to go to Simi hotel."
