"Great hotel. Don’t be put off by the dated exterior, once inside it’s really quite lovely! Room very spacious and beds very comfortable."

"We travel from Canada to visit family in the North East every year and have stayed here three times now. It has a great atmosphere and the food is very good. We’re already planning for 2027 and we will be back."

"Very good family break. Enjoyed the swimming pool with the kids"

"Great stay at the Metropolitan. Lovely room which had everything you'd need. Breakfast was of an excellent quality."

"Couldn’t fault anything, very welcoming, great room , comfy bed. Excellent breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. Great location on the high street, and lots of info on parking, warming out etc. will definitely stay again on a next visit to Tynemouth."

We will almost certainly visit again, despite getting a few things wrong the staff were extremely friendly and...

"Great value for money"

"Modern, well furnished and clean rooms. Great location for local shops, cafes and restaurants and 10 minutes walk to West Jesmond metro station. Great value for money too."

"The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The entire experience was above what you would expect for a relatively cheap three star hotel."
