"It was clean, the rooms are large, plenty of space to hang your clothes and plenty of drawers to put your other items of clothing. The bathroom was large and the towels were very soft. The location is near to the beach and central for visiting other towns. It was very quiet considering there is a pub and a resteraunt on site. . And the beds are so comfortable... I slept like a baby every night. The best value for money I have ever experienced."

"This hotel is a lovely old building set in very pleasant grounds. We visited to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday and were given a complimentary upgrade to a four poster room. It was spacious and nicely decorated in a traditional way which suited the property. We didn't use the spa facilities, but the swimming pool and jacuzzi were nice. Breakfast was very good. "The staff were pleasant and the pool area was OK. Location of the hotel was good. However on the second floor the decor was in need of a lot of improvement. The carpet was threadbare in places; the corridor and our room 223 had paint flaking off in places; the curtains were in need of replacement and were tattily drawn which looked a mess. "Lovely staff and excellent location. Rooms look as though they have been recently refurbished. Cold breakfast selection not as good as it used to be but good variety of cooked breakfasts on offer. I found the restaurant very cold in the evening but fine in the morning. Plenty of supplies in the room, tea, coffee, water, biscuits and toiletries etc."
