"Original grand building in a pleasant location. Poor value for money. Reluctant to check in early, despite agreed that we could to be able to attend a wedding on time. Disappointing view from Room 7 and 8 even though booking was made 7 months earlier. When this was mentioned to the staff at reception, we were told we had not paid extra for the view. The staff members in the dining room were very helpful and friendly."

I did witness a cleaner on her break toss her empty rubbish into the flower beds outside the hotel which wasn’t great though. Our room had everything inside you needed, but there were no instructions to operate the oven so we had to look them up on Google which wasn’t ideal. "A spectacular river view and nice room if you pay more. Lovely gardens for the heart of the city/Wharf. This hotel could be great if it improved a few basics. Check in was poor as they migrated to a new system. We waited 15 mins as the first in the queue with no offer of a complimentary drink. The rooms need kettles. We asked 5 times before one was delivered with tea bags also requested. Only drink on offer was coffee. Breakfast at 9.30 am was stone cold as the hotel is geared toward business...
