Great hotel for a great vacation

Great stay at Rasvillage - nice room and super service and all nice people. We could request breakfast earlier when we went diving. Definately a place we would like to return to.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit im Ras Village bzw. auf Rasdhoo. Wer eine Local Island mit all den schönen/neutralen und nicht so schönen Seiten der Einheimischen sehen will ist auf Rasdhoo genau richtig. Die angebotenen Ausflüge von Herrn Nazim (Mantatour, Schnorcheltripp und Sandbanktripp) waren wirklich mega, es hat alles super funktioniert. Seine Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und pünktlich gewesen. Die Speisekarte könnte etwas vielfältiger sein, das liegt aber nicht nur an der Unterkunft sondern an der Verfügbarkeit von Lebensmitteln allgemein auf der Insel. Was toll ist: Man kann im Ras Village jederzeit heißes Wasser für Tee und Kaffee aufsetzen. Danke dafür Mr. Nazim. Schnorchelt unbebingt auf vor Rasdhoo- man sieht noch einige Fische, auch wenn die Korallenbleiche bereits zugeschlagen hat. Mann muss auch unbedingt einmal zum Sonnenaufgang an der Ostseite der Insel aufs Meer schauen und anschließend einen Spaziergang durchs Dorf einlegen. Man sieht viele tolle kleine Szenen aus dem ganz normalen Leben der Einheimischen!!

Ras Village

We were transfered to Banana Residence since Ras Village was under renovation. Our host was waiting us in the haven as we arrived to island and guided us to the right place. Our staying was very pleasant and guest house keepers were helpful and lovely.

Good stay

I liked this place, the bed and pillows were super awesome but that's a personal preference haha. The staff was helpful and happy to help you book things including the speed boat to your next destination, which in my opinion is where they really stood out as they charged me the amount from the website and a new friend I met, her hotel charged her an extra $8 USD in "taxes and fees" so their honest was a huge factor. The place is clean BUT they don't do daily housekeeping if this is a requirement for you. For me, no problem, when I finally tracked in too much sand for me to be comfortable with I asked them to clean it and done by the time I came back from the beach. Breakfast is the same every day but good. Toast, egg, sausages aka hot dogs, and some fruit with juice. Coffee or tea is available. Very close to the bikini beach which is handy. Easy walk to anywhere on the island (ie restaurants, shops, dive clubs). Wifi was sufficient for my needs. Things to be aware of: you are close to the diesel energy station and you can hear it unless you have the AC on, in which case you here the AC instead of the energy station.

Decent for budget, not for comfort searchers

Very Friendly staff, but the reception was often empty. Hotel is located very near the bikini beach. Hotel itself is quite modern and good looking but unfortunately our room had big problem with mold. The pillow was growing visible spots of mold under linen. And it grew on the walls also. The air in the room is very heavy to breathe and dump. My wife couldn't breath well at night. We both got some symptoms of flu and went gone after leaving the room. Not recommending to people allergic to mold. There is small noise of the power plant next to hotel but it doesn't disturb in room that much. The service level is very good. They tells you what they have and are very flexible on everything. They organized everything you need. Try to ask as new room as possible.
