"Oh my goodness gracious, first off you are ON AN ISLAND!! Yes, that's right it's an Island Resort Hotel n downtown Gatlinburg. There is a sidewalk that follows the perimeter of the island and allows you access to the river for fishing or sightseeing. Look out for bears, you will see bears. This was the nicest hotel I've stayed at in the area, I just loved it. If you have kids you can stay all day at the resort and order food to your chair as you are pool-side. Definitely coming back again. 11/10"
"The cabin was pretty great overall! It was clean and well put together when we arrived and everything worked well. The only issue we had was the ac didn’t seem to be working well for us, and luckily it wasn’t hot this last week. There is also a window ac unit in the loft that was a lifesaver at night.
Would recommend to any small family or group of friends! "

Checkin. The rooms were worth of a much higher nightly rate compared to other properties. Everything was spotless and in excellent condition. Bed was comfortable and bathroom spacious. We enjoyed the pool all to ourselves on a Sunday evening and then the hot tub which is large and well maintained. Highly recommend this hotel and the excellent staff on site who were so helpful!"
"We recently stayed at Marshall’s Rest Motel during our “last vacation” of the summer celebration. This was our 3rd time staying here. What i like best about staying here is the cute cozy rooms (which are clean & well maintained), the pool area which offers a view of the river while you swim or relax pool side & the closeness to downtown (only a 4 min walk). "We had a balcony directly over a river with a view of river and mountain forest. So we felt we were remote and away from the world. However, when you exited the room you were on a Main Street with a free trolley ride to down town. Or you could walk the mile to get to the center of town and the aquarium.
