"We really wanted to leave a good review of Villa du Kapress because the staff were so lovely and overall the villa is really nice, we also had one of our best meals here while we were on St.Maarten. "I think this resort is in a great location. Love the beach, seating, drinks and the daily 2 for 1 specials. On arrival though, we got little to no direction on where our room was, or even a general overview - that would have been helpful."

"Not a fan. Very low staff. Rooms stunk like sewage, always out of food. No help ever. Check in took 45 mins. Catered to cruise ship passengers more than their own guest. Not worth the price. Only one bar that closed at 10pm "

"Huge cockroaches (found one crawling on our toothbrushes) also in buffet area, tried to tell front desk but they didn’t seem to care. All of us except one got very ill, spent whole travel day home in any bathroom we could find and daughter threw up on the plane. I can see the hotel is trying but when you spend $500+ a night you expect more. Good pool and drinks and it’s nice of them to let you explore property early before your room is ready."

"Flew in from JFK and was great! Hotel is very close to airport. Planes fly over very close all day long. You could even walk to the airport to the hotel if you wanted to. Beach is beautiful and the pool was awesome. Rooms have kitchens in them and there was a grocery store right across the street. Liquor store is a two minute walk. Restaurant on the property food was great; service was a little slow but when sitting watching the waves crash was relaxing. Plenty of pool chairs."

"Staff was some of the most friendly people on the island. Biggest downfall was the insane amount of seaweed, cannot swim in beach and seaweed left a horrible smell even in our room we could smell it. They try to bulldoze it away so it’s not their fault it’s just the unfortunate beach condition."

"The property was ok. Definitely needs renovations. My room was old and had old fortunate that was rusting. Bathroom wasn’t my favorite. Was outdated and bathtub was peeling and had missing grout. Had roaches near my sink area and weird black spots on the tile floor under the a/c. Location is great and has a pool and beach. "

They did not text us as promised but we had promptly gone to the front desk at 4pm and were given our room key (so the room had been ready but we weren't contacted). "i wish they would mention that there are renovated houses and non renovated. had to find out upon arrival that we will be staying at the not remodeled version. also, their check in is at 3 pm. expedia said its at 2 pm. so that one hour was a big difference for us since we still came on early- at around 12:30. coffee machine was at the kitchen, but no coffee was anywhere to find. in general, it would be not bad 3 start, but definitely not better than that and cost way too much "

"All the rooms had a stunning ocean view. The property was located in a great location, although it was slightly old and outdated. The restaurant food was exceptional. I would definitely stay there again. The beach view was breathtaking."
