Lopesan Caoba Lagoon is one of the best resorts I’ve experienced in Dominican Republic. Everything was brand new, fresh out the box. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I didn’t even have to ask or think of anything because it would immediately be provided. Thy go above and beyond. And if we touch on food… all I can say is wow. The food was always warm when served, tasted like a 5 star Michelin restaurant. And the denotes were breathtaking. Will definitely return recommend.

Saludos por aqui... Para expresar lo excelente que la pasamos en el Hotel Lopesan Caoba Lagoon... Facilidades a niveles optimos... Desde la llegada comienza una aventura de vacaciones que no se olvidan. Personal de recibimiento con excelente trato incluyendole a todos su copa de espumoso , luego habitacion espectacular, luego personal de lobby con una cocteleria de alto nivel menciono por aqui a John Kelly , Rolphy , y los demas... Area de piscina a todo lujo.. En comida no se pasa hambre para nada.. Comida riquisima y ademas tiene 7 restaurantes a la carta con excelente personal... Brazileño , Frances , Mexicano , Italiano , Peruano , Indu , Tailandes y el plus del salon buffet con comida espectacular tambien. Desde desayuno , almuerzo y cena.. Rest.Intra que nunca habiamos experimentado ese paladar la pasamos de show.. Actividades en area de piscinal bien cheveres ! Agradecemos a personal de Rest. Oh where to start! Things were bad from the very beginning. We booked a 2 bed room and they gave us a 1 bed instead. Had to endure it for 2 nights. The TV did not work and of course they did NOTHING to fix it. The power went out!! After those nights they switched us to the 2 bed and guess what? Not only the TV did not work, but also the phone! By the time they fixed (took 4 days) we were more than halfway through our stay. Our daughter got sick and could not even be entertained with cartoons. Now moving on to the restaurants. The food is not great and you're basically forced to eat at the buffet cause reservation is needed for the restaurants. The Brazilian restaurant which is probably the best is for 18+ only. We had to leave our daughter in daycare to be able to go. Just doesn't make sense to have that type of restaurant in a FAMILY hotel. There was a night we went to the italian one. Let me mention that our girl was really hungry. Well, they took forever to take our order and she was almost crying. Not only that, they started serving the table next to us who arrived after. That was my breaking point. I immediately went to the lobby to complaint. As everything they do is meant to make you waste time/forget about it and let it go, they made me fill out a form with all the things I did not like. Took them 2 days to offer us a late check out that was not going to work, so basically nothing!! NEVER AGAIN Save yourself the money and bad time and go somewhere else instead!

Le puse calificación bueno porque nos entregaron la habitación hasta las 6:18pm. En 30 minutos de estar mi hijo en la piscina se le perdió el brazalete y me advirtieron que si se perdía un brazalete cobran $500 primer día y $100 el resto de los días. Por sentido común lo reporte el día siguiente.

The hotel is not finished whatsoever and is definitely not ready to be open to the public. There is dust and construction everywhere, and guests are being accommodated in another wing because Caoba is still incomplete and only half done. During check-in alone, we personally witnessed at least five different guests making complaints, including concerns about food poisoning and the hotel not living up to the 5-star standards it advertises. Let’s also not forget the staff’s lack of efficiency. I informed them that the chicken I was served was completely raw once I cut into it, and their response was that I “should have looked better.” Overall, this property feels far from a 5-star experience. Between the unfinished construction, excessive dust, food safety concerns, and poor customer service, the hotel should not be open to the public in its current state.

Here's a balanced and honest review you can post: Before you post it, one clarification: your previous messages mentioned Lopesan Costa Bávaro, but you also mentioned Lopesan Caoba Lagoon. This review is written generically so it works for either property. We recently stayed here with our family, and while we had a good vacation overall, the resort still has room for improvement. The best part of our stay was the food. The quality and variety were excellent, and we enjoyed every meal. The rooms were comfortable, and the property has a lot of potential. However, it's clear that the hotel is still very new. Several amenities were still under construction, which was disappointing since we expected everything to be fully operational. Many staff members were friendly, but unfortunately, they often didn't have answers to basic questions or seemed unsure about resort information and procedures. The biggest downside was the service at the à la carte restaurants. We had a group of eight, and it consistently took around 2½ hours from being seated to receiving our meals. While we understand larger groups can take longer, the wait was excessive and took away from the overall dining experience. Overall, this resort has great potential thanks to its excellent food and beautiful property, but it still needs time to improve its operations, staff training, and complete the remaining construction. I would consider returning in the future once those improvements have been made.
