"Das Hotel ist im Vintage Stil erbaut, bietet aber jeden notwendigen Komfort, hat alles was man braucht. Das Personal sympathisch, hilfsbereit, sehr freundlich und kompetent. Das Hotel ist sehr gut an den öffentlichen Verkehr eingebunden, was ich sehr zu schätzen wusste, da ich ausschliesslich mit Bahn und Bus unterwegs war. Das Restaurant gefiel mir ausserordentlich, einerseits wegen der Auswahl und anderseits durch das Ambiente."

"We really liked everything about the Ollerod. Two thirds of our breakfasts were provided by Julie, who was so nice. We enjoyed chatting with her about the local area. The food was good and set us up for our busy days. We met Kim in housekeeping one day when we stopped by midafternoon. Our room was always spotless and looked as if we had only just arrived. The staff at the front desk were helpful and accommodating. One gentleman even arranged to have housekeeping launder a few shirts for...

"Beautiful grounds, excellent staff but room fell short of expectations - no air conditioning, bath/shower difficult to get into, no shower caps, no toilet brush, flush difficult to use, waste bin not emptied - maybe all OK when built (2005?) but at the price charged we hoped for better. Cooked breakfast was good - they know how to poach an egg - but fruit juices at best were supermarket quality, limited fruit on offer (melon, pineapple and maybe blackcurrant) and same both days were there."

"Liked the proximity to the beach and for walking into town. Bus stops close by. Would have liked a fridge in the room, not the cool box that was provided as it was inadequate. Great stay, staff were very friendly, restaurant was decent. Would probably stay at the Rembrandt again."

"Loved the short walk to shops, restaurants, museum, beach, The Red Lion is truly in the middle of everything…a great location. Having in parking on site was great, and we we happy to get a spot. The charming decor and balcony looking towards the sea was delightful, though our tight schedule only gave me about 15 minutes sitting there."
