"The room was very clean and the food in both restaurants was delicious. I loved the pool area with swim-up bar and different hot spring pools. The activities on the property are fun too - zip lining, horse riding, and river tubing. "

"Cute little hotel in downtown Liberia. It's pretty basic but clean and the staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating. After our flight was cancelled on a Saturday evening, we ended up at El Cerro along with many others from the flight. The staff worked hard to get everyone settled, gave us late night dinner options, and booked cabs back to the airport for the morning. So grateful to the wonderful front desk person on Sat March 21!"

"We had a great stay here! Beautiful property. We had the Mountain Bungalow and it was really nice. The food was delicious and decently priced. We bought into a ziplining tour, the canopy/hanging bridges tour and 3 hr/3 waterfall hike - all great! Saw lots of monkeys and a toucan. Guides were great. Would stay here again!"

"Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The hotel is a perfect launching point for a Costa Rican vacation and the pool area and restaurant are terrific. For in and great food and drink choices and options and very fair pricing. The property is extremely clean and the rooms are spotless with modern updates."

"Noisy from highway if you have a room at front of building. Did not feel secure. Small rooms for 2 double sized beds. We barely fit with our luggage. "

"We only stayed one night when travelling through, but wished we would have had more time to enjoy the horse riding and ziplines. The dinner and breakfast was prepared for us by wonderful staff, and they catered for vegan, vegetarian and carnivores in our family group, including our 2-yr old grandson. We enjoyed the pool and waterslide during our brief stop, and enjoyed walking around the property with company from the very friendly (but not in your face!) dogs.
