Great little affordable place to stay for pilgrims! Clean and comfortable. The property owners were very kind and responsive and helped us arrange transport of our bags.

Perfect for Camino

This was one of my favorite stays on the Camino Portuguese! Just a few steps off the trail, with a private air-conditioned room and en-suite bathroom — super clean and comfortable. It was walking distance to the ocean, a convenience store, and some great little restaurants, which made it really easy to relax and recharge. The kitchen had everything I needed, and the laundry facilities were so helpful. Remote access made check-in smooth, and the host was genuinely kind and welcoming. Would absolutely stay here again!

Shared space- no privacy- very awkward!

Nowhere in the description nor reviews is it disclosed that this a SHARED SPACE. Very disingenuous on part of the host. We had a small private room w a clean private bathroom. That’s the best I can say. See photos of the tiny room w a bed that screeched so loudly w the most minimal movement and was uncomfortable. Because it’s a small, shared apartment (no “guest house”) your choice is to watch tv 1m from your bed or leave the place unless you want to sit on the living room couch while a family of 6 eats dinner w all associated food odors. Or their dog barks outside your door to go out in the morning. Or you pass the kitchen w all their laundry hanging. It’s WEIRD! I am lost upset that absolutely nowhere is this info disclosed! I NEVER pick a shared space and this was deceitful. We stayed out of the room as much as possible but it rained and we could stay in our room or find a restaurant to stay in and downs $. It was so uncomfortable. I don’t understand the folks who gave 10/10, another reason we chose it! Had the host been honest from the start that you stay in a tiny room or can hang out w random strangers w their laundry hanging all over the kitchen, I’d have stayed elsewhere. Imagine staying w strangers and every time you open your door there they are. Now you know.

Hairy blood stained bed

Blood stained sheets upon lifting pillow. Other unknown stains on sheets and mattress cover of both beds. Bunk bed combo double bed on bottom. Long hairs on bathroom sink. Long hair on entryway side table. Several hairs( possibly pubic) you decide with pictures. Dirty Baseboards and dust bunnies in common areas. We covered pillows with towel and used hiking blanket for comfort. I contacted host with our concerns he advised us to change sheets ourselves, wait 3-4 hours for cleaning staff or leave. He proceeded to tell us that the blood stains were coffee stains. We then requested if we would be compensated somehow. No reduction on stay. Take it or leave it. Then he requested pictures of room so he could get compensated from cleaning staff. Wet laundry hanging in kitchen restricting access to laundry facilities and use of kitchen. Cleaning staff has linens and towels hanging from ceiling. No pilgrim on the Camino wants or should have to clean their guesthouse after a 25 km walk. Now a little bit about my wife and I. Canadian Albertan ,56 yr old semi retired blue collar forestry worker my wife a semi retired career RN. She knows what a blood stain looks like. We’re not a “bougie”couple by anyone’s imagination. We just know what is clean and what’s not. Now the positive. Great location and functioning air conditioning. This would be a great guesthouse with more pride in ownership.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cet hébergement, simple mais avec tout le nécessaire pour profiter de la plage qui est à côté. Quelques arrangements (poignée de porte à visser, portes qui grincent) sont à faire mais rien qui empêche de profiter des lieux. L'hôte est très sympathique et la cuisine et le séjour sont très appréciables.
