"Stayed at the Clarion a couple nights and even though the main lobby/pool area was clean, our room was not. When we first went into the room, there was a used bar of soap on the floor as well as the shampoo and conditioners being half way full, showing that they were used. I told the front desk and they told me they'd let housekeeping know. I never heard back from them and the soap was still there when we left (we weren't going to touch it). Also, the elevators were hit or miss. One was completely down and the second one worked one minute, not the next so you had to walk down the stairs with luggage. Not fun. One nice perk was the complimentary shuttle to different places. That was convenient when going to Old Port."

"We stayed here after arriving on a late flight into Portland. The shuttle driver was friendly and picked us up within 5 minutes of our arrival, even though it was 11:30 pm. The front desk person was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. The bed was comfortable, all things expected from an Embassy Hotel."

"The check-in was so easy and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They gave us recommendations for food and sights. The location was perfect for both the old port and the art district. The room was beautiful and welcoming but was even better was the beautiful view of the bay. We loved waking up to the beautiful view. Parking was easy and the hotel was comfortable."

"We had a great stay at the Motel 6 in Portland, Maine. The highlight of our stay was the gentleman at the front desk who checked us in. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and had me laughing from the moment I arrived, making us feel right at home after a long day of traveling. Our room was surprisingly large, giving us plenty of space to relax and unpack. It was also very clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated when you're on the road. Overall, the combination of excellent customer service, a spacious room, and a clean environment made for a wonderful stay. We would gladly stay here again when visiting Portland."
