"This property is impeccable. Everything was very clean. We loved the fact that there was a kitchen separate to the bedroom. Also the cute patio in the back."

"This is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is welcoming, helpful and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. The whole building is a landmark with fun treats through the day- and a breakfast that is far superior to chain hotel breakfasts."

"Place was perfect, was there on a golf trip, needed to have secure parking and they did, location was perfect, nightly sunsets on the ocean, food just around the corner, wildlife everywhere, could hear the surf at night, clean and the staff was very nice at check in and when i needed another coffee packet. Every time i go to monterey/pac grove/carmel i will be staying here. Thank you a ton for making my stay stress free! "

"This is a brand new property, everything is clean and the design is lovely. Our only observations are that our room still smelled like new construction/paint. Obviously that's temporary. Our "premium" room was also directly on a street that had street parking and as a result was very noisy with cars coming and going. Others will have a different experience staying elsewhere in the hotel."

"Great for its price. Loved cleanness and the ready to go fire place. Lovely stuff, kind and friendly. The only thing I did not like is the carpet in the rooms which was worn out. "

"Breakfast was limited for alt-diets. I had the fruit and then we went elsewhere for a full breakfast. Parking was doable, had no issues finding a spot for a few hours and moving our car as needed. Lighting was sub-par...as with many places, it was all on and bright or bedside lights on and dim for the greater room. The jet tub didn’t jet but it was still very relaxing and accommodated larger bodies. The fireplace was nice. The fridge could have been a tad larger to accommodate restaurant...

"It was a nice cozy in, toom was clean walked around barfoot wood floor. Staff was great helpful friendly. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. I will stay again."

"Good bed, good pillows, water in the shower was hot, pretty grounds and a trail behind the property. Clean room, Friendly staff , great location, nice ceiling fan. We will be back for sure. Just one suggestion, a small portable fan in the room would be great 😊 "

"I love the cozy charming feel of this Historic Landmark Hotel. Staff was friendly and kind. I felt comfortable and secure as a Solo Traveler. Parking is limited on the site, but the neighborhood streets around the hotel off her parking. You can unload in front of the hotel, and then go find a place to park. The breakfast of a yogurt parfait made to order and various pastries was very good. It is close to shopping and dining, and a walk to the beach is just several blocks away. "

"The location is great but the property is pretty dumpy. You get the sense that the management only does the bare bones maintenance. I am a regular guest. I had booked 2 nights and asked to cancel the second night and get a credit for another night. It's been several days and I haven't gotten a response."

"Very friendly staff all around! Great breakfast included with a fantastic view. Each room is unique so don't count on an ocean view. No A/C or ceiling fans in room; can get warm during the day. Walking distance to Cannery Row and the Aquarium. On a hill so steps are involved / maybe not good for people with mobility issues. Overall great little Inn!"

"Love the place, but a few suggestions. Please stock conditioner in the shower, along with the shampoo and body wash. Please bring back the croissants at breakfast. Have a bin of towels in the pool area, or have double the large towels in the room, so each person can have a pool towel, and a bath towel."

"This was our second time staying here and it never disappoints!! We love the Green Gables! The location is amazing, the views are spectacular, the staff is super friendly, the breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese are absolutely delicious and the room was extremely clean and beautifully decorated!!"

"I really enjoyed the property however they encouraged me to pay for breakfast in the morning and when I got there, it was sold out, which I did not know could even happen. Otherwise I would have paid when I checked in which I had no problem doing because I knew I was going to need the breakfast option because I was traveling with my 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 year-old and it just made a lot more sense to eat at the property… Since they were sold out we had to check out four hours earlier than planned in...
