"Room was lovely. The giant tub was an added bonus after long days of walking around the city. The staff were very nice and welcoming. One elevator is still down and when we arrived, our room was ready but we were still unable to check in because at the time both elevators were down. But we dropped our bags and went and grabbed lunch. It’s a good location to Calton hill and the tram and bus stops. Walking distance to all the tourist spots like Royal mile and such. Overall I def would recommend it. The elevator situation was the only downside but not enough to hinder the trip in any way"

"Our stay was wonderful. Guest service was great and very welcoming. We had an issue where a fuse or something blew and nothing worked in the room but it was fixed very promptly. It’s close to EVERYTHING and the perfect location. And our room view of the castle was great. "

"The room was clean, and the bed was reasonably comfortable. They use a memory foam-style mattress topper, so as a side sleeper who moves around a lot, it took a while for it to adjust and reshape. Aside from that, the bed was firm but acceptable. The room itself was clean, but the view between the hotel rooms really needs attention—especially since there are two windows facing it. Unfortunately, it looked more like a back alley filled with garbage than a pleasant view."

"Great location and a really nice welcome from staff. However, very slow service at the bar when there was only a few people in dining area. The bed was extremely hard and the pillows were flat so we slept poorly. We were in a room facing another building so no view and next to the main AC generator so the noise was loud and constant. Other than this, the breakfast was really good with a wide selection but I don’t think we will return."

"The location was great and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The room was nice. My only concern was the bathroom. The toilet didn’t flush properly and the floor would remain wet after showering for a very long time (no lip on the shower floor, I assume for handicapped use)."

"Hotel was in the perfect location to explore Edinburgh. Had one small glitch in that our tv wasn’t working but staff did what they could to try and fix it to no avail. Did offer us a complimentary breakfast so did something for the minor inconvenience."
