"A lovely place to stay no doubt. We had a comfortable 3 nights stay. The staff were lovely. The location was amazing. The rooms were a bit small. "Overall very comfortable stay. At check in, the layout of rooms could have been explained. It took us two days to work out the quickest and easiest way to our room. Breakfast was a first class buffet. "We were very pleasantly surprised on arriving at the Boutique Hotel. We were warmly greeted with a glass of Prosecco. Our suite was so much better than we had expected. "The hotel was absolutely beautiful. From the moment you pull into the car park, the grandeur and character are so apparent. The welcome at reception was friendly and efficient. What we loved though was it wasn't "stuffy and formal". The room itself was very clean, light and modern and had the best views over the gardens and fells. The bed was super comfy with good quality furnishings. Would definitely go back. "

"Our second year visiting. Wonderful husband and wife team who cook and serve us breakfast and I imagine do all the cleaning. I do not know who owns or manages this hotel, but perhaps it is time for the owner to look at certain things in the bedroom (bathroom blind, vanity stool) to be refreshed, and some repainting. The sunroom at the front of the hotel seems to be used as a storage unit which is a great waste of a nice sitting spot. The breakfasts are excellent again due to the husband...
