"Great location — close to the beach and an easy walk to downtown Pismo Beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. One important heads-up: not all rooms have air conditioning, and our room got quite hot in the afternoon. If AC matters to you, confirm your room has it before booking. Good value for the location, just know what you're getting."

"Close walk to the beach. I enjoyed parking in the private parking lot and walking everywhere. No need to drive. All the best places in pismo just a quick walk away. Best deal for the money. Room was small but very clean. Staff is so nice and helpful. Best part is the patio on the second floor. You can see the ocean and it’s so relaxing."

"The hotel is ideally located. So close to the water, pier, great food and shopping. There is no a/c but the staff offered box fans if needed. That came in handy for temperature and noise abatement when people drove to and from Pismo for Harry’s Bar less than a block away :). Great solution! The only con is the parking. The small lot is not capable of handling the guests, some even taking up the few handicapped spaces. There is minimal space on the street due to it being such a great location, too. The parking issue was absolutely not a reason to avoid this slightly more affordable and perfectly located, clean hotel. Definitely would recommend Main & Salt Motel!!!"

"It had a beautiful view and was very clean, but some of the cliff‑side rooms had a strong, unpleasant smell. You couldn’t open the window or sit outside to enjoy the scenery. We informed the staff, and they moved us to a different room."

"Great property with amazing views. Great location to beach and Pismo Pier. On property restaurant “Blaze & Brew,” is fun and excellent food/menu. Rooms have been redone fairly recently and are spacious and comfortable. Plenty of amenities. Daily breakfast is good. We’d definitely stay again."

"I felt overall the stay was good. There were a couple of things that stood out that could be changed. First, the upstairs balcony seating area was well arranged. However, the glass was really dirty. I’m not sure how often its cleaned but our entire stay it was dirty. Secondly the tv kept freezing up and even going out. I know that may be more of a network issue but just thought I would mention it. Overall, worth the price!"
