The house was spectacular, the room I reserved was lovely, and breakfast was amazing. I can definitely stay in this place again and again as I had an amazing experience.
Fabulous.....everything was simply perfect from the location, accommodation, breakfast, hosting to the amazing evening meals. Would absolutely stay here agai
Visite des plages et des musées du débarquement magnifique maison a deux pas de sainte mère église propriétaire tres gentil tres acceuillant tres bon petit dejeune produit de la ferme
From the moment we arrived, Dave and Allison made us feel very welcomed. The room was immaculate and very well dressed. After we explained the nature of our visit, Dave, who has a vast knowledge of all things to do with World War II, kindly recommended many things for us to pack in our short trip. We were very appreciated of his knowledge. I highly recommend having dinner at the farmhouse. One of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. I rate this 10 out of 10.
Alyson and Dave are incredible hosts! When you book, add the dinner reservations you won’t regret it. Dave is a gourmet chef, his oyster appetizer is out of this world! I’ve recommended this place to my friends and encourage you to try it.
Truly an amazing place to stay! I am incredibly happy that I chose this hotel. Its location is perfect if you want to explore the Cotentain Peninsula and especially Utah Beach and the surrounding sites from the WW2 landings. The hotel is located on the countryside with free parking so you need a car. The breakfast is very adequate.
I got pretty much the room of my dreams on the lower floor with my own private little patio area in the garden. I had an amazing time here and I will easily stay here if I ever come back to this area again.
Everything we expected from a stay near D-Day landing sites and battles… and more. The hosts were top flight and - a hint - the dinner they made (extra, but very reasonable) is one of the best meals we have had in a long time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Dave & Allison fabulous hosts, a charming environment, with great history preserved. Highly recommend dinner each night for an incredible 5 course meal by an award winning Chef, aka Dave! While the farm only a mile from St Mire Eglise, not great restaurants and dining at the farm 👍.
We really enjoyed our stay! The grounds were lovely and interesting, the room clean and spacious, and the whole feel was just right for our Normandy visit - nostalgic and relaxing! Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. We spent two weeks traveling in France and the one dinner we had at the farm was quite possibly the most delicious. This place is a gem.
What a charming bed and breakfast! This place was a museum in itself, over 300 years old with modern amenities. David and Alyson, the owners, were the perfect hosts. A delicious full breakfast was served every morning by Chef David and lovely Alyson. The rooms were given great detail to decor and very comfortable. We wanted for nothing. A memorable stay!
The Old Farm was a wonderful property and the owners are fantastic. They were welcoming and friendly and have clearly done an amazing job creating a very comfortable place for guests.
Our room was spacious and very charmingly decorated, with a large bathroom, all done in an old French farm style (at least as far as we know!). The inner courtyard is a wonderful place to relax with coffee in the morning or with a drink after a day of being out. The breakfast options were excellent and plentiful.
We would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly place to visit.
We were here over New Year. While the accomodation is very pleasant, we were very disappointed that we were only offered a late night dinner, very heavy dinner but both my wife and I dont like to eat very late, as we are a vegetarian and diabetic. There was no restautant or shop open on New Years day, so went without any food for the entire day. The key is that no effort what-so-ever was made to accomodate us other than offer us a fixed 4 course meal late at night.
