Stayed in the corner room which is very hot and the room aircon was not cold enough.
The hotel is a short walk from the railway station where we stay a night before heading to Sukhothai.
Very run down. Windows single glased and leak so v noisy as near the railway station. No food. Not as clean as could be. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Overall,it gave impression of a hotel about to close

Creepy Hotel
I chose this hotel because of its location - close to a train station and night/morning markets.
I knew the hotel was quite old but didn't expect that horrible conditions.
The lobby and hall way are very dark and unwelcome atmosphere (photo images of booking sites/own website are TOTALLY different from the actual).
The first room, I couldn't close a window and felt unsafe, so switched the room to another.
The second room, I smelled and found a black mold bathtub mat at the bathroom... The room (901/904) was not renovated or maintained at all.
I regretted choosing this hotel and definitely not to recommend.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Clean sheets, air con work, hot shower. Very basic but good for the money. They haven’t redecorated since 1978, from the looks of things so it has a run down feel to it. Free WiFi and parking, and easy walking distance to train station, river, local market, etc.
The location and value are perfect and old style colonial hotel with character , we have stayed many times but unfortunately the condition of the hotel deteriorates slightly every year much like old hotels in uk city centers ....
A small walk away from the bus station.
Night market a similar walk away by the river. Wats also within walking distance.
Airconditioning was nice on a hot day.
I was in Phitsanulok for about 1.5 days as a transit point between Sukhothai and Bangkok, and I stayed in Amarin Nakorn during this time. The hotel's location is very convenient, being only within 5 minutes' walk away from the Train Station, Ruamjai Market, the Night Food Market and the Night Bazaar. The folklore museum and the temples, albeit on opposite directions from the hotel, are also within 20 minutes' walk from the hotel.
The quality of the hotel and rooms are of average quality, but for the very competitive price I paid, it was fully worth it. My room was sufficiently spacious and comfortable.
The staff were also very friendly and helpful, and the hotel also provides in-room massage service, which was of very good quality!
