"Way up on the mountainside with a beautiful view of the valley and the Douro River. Valeria is a wonderful host and the place is truly something special. The beds are super comfortable, the bathrooms fantastic and she thought of every detail. "

"Staff was very helpful and the pool was a nice refreshing experience in the heat. Breakfast was more than we could ask for. Although the room is small it was clean and ok for sleeping."

"I was never able to get to the hotel due to road closures caused by flooding in the area. The hotel never communicated to me via any means before hand. I made multiple attempts trying to get to the hotel through different roads and all ended up being closed at a some point. The sun went down and it was very dark. We were lucky to eventually drive out of the scary dangerous roads. A refund request was denied by the hotel. While I understand the policy, I don’t understand why the hotel never...

"Spectacular secluded location, easily drivable to town. Guest house was charming and Francesco provided exceptional personalized client service. Their wine was fantastic. Pool overlooking river was delightful. Beautiful vineyard walks. Fresh lemons and oranges. Scrupulous breakfast. Did we love every minute- YES we did!!"
