"Clean room but hotel may need some renovation. Room was clean but AC was not very good. Hotel is in an excellent location and close to everything. Last, we went to the roof top bar for a quick drink and service was very poor. The waiter at the bar was very rude. My wife asked to see the bill and he was not very happy about that. Breakfast was good."

"Such a beautiful and historic property in the center of a bustling area. The decor is lovely and full of character. The staff were so kind and helpful, greeting us with a welcomed smile every day. The neighbourhood is vibrant and next to so many eclectic shops. We are a family of 5 (3 young children) and so enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again."

"I have travelled to over 40 countries and have stayed in a lot of hotels. Monopol is one of the worst I’ve ever stayed in.
The rooms look like they were last renovated in the 1960’s. They seem like they were last cleaned in the 1970’s.
The rooms feature black mold in the bathrooms, disgustingly filthy floors and carpeting, the strong, strong smell of years of smoking, dark and dimly lit, and full of rotting wood and damage. And the bed sags in the middle and did not even come with a top sheet,...

"Good for a Short Solo Stay, But Understaffed
Ansen Suites is a convenient and great value option that absolutely served its purpose for a quick trip as a solo traveler.
However, the hotel seems significantly understaffed. The reception team was multitasking as both restaurant staff and front desk agents. Because they were constantly splitting their duties, the reception desk was frequently left unmanned, and no one ever answered the phone when I tried to call.
