"On one of the day my room was not cleaned,i asked the guy and he said i did not inform him,i told him it should be the other way around,if i inform him not to clean then there is no need to clean otherwise he should clean.Maybe the management should put the label slider or a hanger on the door to indicate if cleaning of the room is required. Other than that,not much issues,room and toilet is small but i took the standard room and for the price,there is no complaints.There is only one coffee shop...

Rocana Hotel

"Our recent stay at the Rocana Hotel was unfortunately quite disappointing. While some members of staff were fun, friendly, and welcoming, others came across as the complete opposite, which made the overall experience feel inconsistent. The location itself is good and convenient, however the parking situation was frustrating. Although the hotel advertises parking, spaces are extremely limited and availability is very hit and miss. On more than one occasion, we had to park on the street and get up early in the morning to move the car before parking enforcement hours began, which was far from ideal. The room itself was a good size, however it felt very tired and in desperate need of remedial work and redecoration. This was also true of many of the common areas beyond the reception area, which appeared worn and poorly maintained. There were several cleanliness and maintenance issues that should not really be present in a hotel of this standard, including stained bed linen, towels that were supposed to be white but are now shades of grey/cream, cracks in the walls, a rotten bathroom door frame, mould in the bathroom, and an ill-fitting toilet seat. Overall, the property feels neglected and in need of significant refurbishment and better upkeep. With investment and more consistent customer service, the hotel could have potential, but sadly the current condition did not meet expectations."

"The property is very nice and we enjoyed it. However, the parking situation was not pleasant. We were instructed to use the Touch N Go card. We made a mistake of scanning the card after we exited the parking lot not before we exited the parking lot. We didn't realized we made the error on the day we checked out. The staff told us that there is no way to redeem the error. This is just bad business practice. It is not the extra monies that bothered us. It is the principal. We made a honest mistake. We find it unacceptable that the error was not redeemable at all. Given that the Hyatt brand is a global brand and we've stayed at many Hyatt's, the inflexibility put a sour taste to our trip. The second experience that we did not like was the payment for the breakfast. We were explained that the breakfast costs more if we were to pay at the restaurant counter as opposed to paying it at the reception area. We were not informed that there is not an option to pay at the reception the next day if we decide to eat at the hotel for breakfast. The only option available was to pay at the hotel restaurant. As a result, we ended up paying an additional $13 ringgit per person. Again, this is not about the additional $13 ringgit since this is not a lot when we convert into our home country currency. It is the lack of information. During our trip, we've stayed at Le Meridien and Angsana. We didn't have issues with these two hotels. Both are of the same level as the Hyatt. "

"1. Toilet should have soft closure 2. Guider for birdwatcher and nature walk are good but can do better. For birdwatch, should bring the guest to the kayak area where more exclusive bird hang around and not lobby and dinning. Nature walk is quite nice but need a bit more training. For both, best i suggest give a guideline on topic to show and say. And if possible collect or take picture for animal evidence like bird feathers, otter walk around the estate, snake skin. "

"This place needs major upkeep. The room was disgusting. We supposed to stay two nights. No way, we left the next day and booked another hotel. I lost my money in the night we didn’t stay, but it was worth it. Also had a major ant problem. Wife couldn’t sleep as she said she kept feeling thing crawl on her."
