"TLDR: great hotel, great visit, would stay again. Older but well maintained resort. Staff was extremely friendly, though a bit slow. Maybe a bit short staffed? Our ocean view room was only a partial view, but to be fair we did not pay extra for full ocean front. We had a pretty good view on the balcony, and were high enough that we could see all the way to Black Rock. Having the beach so close was wonderful, and it was not crowded. The surf wasn’t very rough except when the tide was coming in....

"Beautiful ocean room and very quiet. Loved the location on the beach and the lazy beach river pool. We also loved that the hotel was walking distance from Whaler’s Village. The food at the poolside restaurant was very good also as were the drinks! All the staff were so friendly and helpful except for the check in guy (around 10:30pm) at night who was not very welcoming and didn’t even smile at us once!
