"Was a great place but unfortunately there was a kids hockey event with irresponsible parents. Kids running up n down the hallways screaming. Would have been nice if they grouped the hockey teams on one end and other guest on the other."

"after reading some of the reviews I'm VERY pleased to say I was very happy with my stay. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, I was able to park right outside my room and the check-in lady was very welcoming. I had forgotten to ask for a ground floor room. When I called the motel in the morning to request one, I reached an answering machine. In less than 30 minutes I received a call back advising a ground floor room would be waiting for me. I would definitely stay here again on my way through Golden and will be recommending it to our friends and family."

"The Lodge and Lantern was in an easy location to find from Hwy 1. We stopped for a night to break up our journey from Banff to Kelowna. There was good size fridge in the room and it's clear the Lodge has recently been refurbished. The room we were in had very bad wifi and we reported it, but unfortunately it did not improve. Due to the poor wifi connection, we weren't able to make the most of the tv in the room which had Netflix etc. The rooms were quite small but the bed was comfortable and there wasa good size fridge. The view from our room was great of the mountains."

"We stayed at the Prestige Inn Golden for 2 nights in May 2026 as part of our Vancouver to Calgary road trip. The hotel is conveniently located on Highway 1 and is a short distance from Kicking Horse resort too. The hotel does what it says on the tin - provides a bed & some amenities. On site is a restaurant and liquor store. There is a pool and jacuzzi which are a good size, indoor and a decent temperature. We were helped by Heather & Meghan on reception who were cheerful and efficient, working to move us from a pet friendly room. Additionally they accommodated taking in a parcel for us. We ate twice - one dinner and one breakfast - in the onsite restaurant Raven & Pine which we would recommend. The dinner service in particular had people from outside of the hotel dining. Portions were good and a wide selection of options. We booked this hotel due to its location for Golden Skybridge and were not disappointed. We also went into the town for one dinner and one breakfast."
