"This is a really nice hotel near the center of town (although not near any tourist sites). The rooms are great, the staff is friendly and helpful. It's near the Metro. The usually-included breakfast has a good variety of Brazilian and other western dishes, although during "rush hour" they are not replaced as often when emptied, and the fruit "juices" are not actual pressed fruit, but oversweet processed varieties. Also, one of the 3 elevators was out of order for some of my stay, which...

"I had stayed 2 nights at this hostel, it was smooth as it should be.The owner is German with non-english speaking, but she has very very very good hospitality. With her more than welcome, I feel really safe during the stay. The room itself is fine equipped with air-conditioner, which is needed in Salvador. The best part of this hostel is the location! convenient to walk around, not so far from most attractions in Pelourinho. and the breakfast is neatly served with very high quality of food....
