While the hotel has been beautifully renovated and is in very good condition, it felt more like a generic luxury hotel and lacked the Sicilian character we were hoping for. "We stayed here for two nights and were extremely disappointed, especially considering this is supposed to be a five star property. Our first night we were put in a room where the bathroom had a horrid smell that spread to the entire room. The room was also on the same floor as all the cleaning staff which was very odd. They offered us nothing in return for this very disappointing night. Do not recommend staying here."
