"This older hotel is in Miami Beach's southern most region. The area has a lot of charm and is very busy even in the early Spring. The hotel was maintained in excellent condition however, being an older hotel, its rooms are on the small side in spaces compared with more modern offerings. However, the Avalon has good soundproofing and even though the district is very busy late into the night, the rooms are quiet. The attentive staff, beach access, excellent location, cleanliness I'll receive high marks. The hotel also includes a restaurant which has a very good breakfast offering."

"Facility clean,location excellent. Many technical issues example air conditioning broke, room keys malfunction NUMEROUS TIMES, false advertising regarding size of rooftop pool."

"The staff, the areas all great. The check in was awful. We did not get our room until like around 7 at night. They were nice enough to hold our luggage so we can still explore the areas. The bed was okay, but the pull out couch was terrible. Overall the staff were very nice. "

"Above and beyond. We traveled with our children and chose this hotel because it was supposed to be family-friendly and it sure was. The proper was full of kids, which we liked. They made our kids feel welcomed. The pool was beautiful, the beach right there and the breakfast buffet amazing. "

"Front desk was of no use, they didn't even speak proper English. For everything they kept saying their services are outsourced so contact expedia. Ac wasn't working they dint bother to send anybody to get it fixed and gave tiny portable ac which dint cool the room enough. Never choosing this place again! Save your $$"

The pool is super small and you have to go through the restaurant to get to it- not a bad but just different. "The room needed to be cleaned the bathroom floor and table tops were dirty with dust food and hair. The staff at the front desk were so helpful and accommodating they helped us the entire time. They were very hospitable Fernando and Isreal helped us with late check out. The food at the restaurant out front was also delicious. All in all it was a good experience. There is a CVS next door with cleaning supplies also. Lol "
