The staff was friendly. It was a nice hotel, clean and the service was good. I wouldn’t rate it as exceptional in any way just a nice hotel. If I stayed in Obihiro again I would stay here again. Although I would probably also look for an alternative.

Friendly staff. We had a garden room, which was very nice. Nice view and fake tree trunks in the room. Bed was comfortable. We walked over to the mall for dinner, which was fine. Otherwise it would be a 5-10 minute drive to dining areas

The tall glass windows in the lobby was relaxing to have afternoon tea while waiting for my room. The staff were very attentive, especially the concierge who saw me struggling with my luggage at my parked vehicle. He ran out with an umbrella to help me in the pouring rain. Room was a bit small but had all the necessities to make a comfortable stay.

Property is old but clean. Not sure how it gets a 9.2 on Hotels, but I’ve always found the site to overhype hotels. There is a musty smell throughout and mildew on the tiling. That said, it was very clean and comfortable so I can’t fault the staff for much.

First things first: the location is THE ONLY problem with this property. The facilities, cleanliness, service, dining, etc. etc. are all top notch. Frankly, I didn’t expect such a great hotel with SUPER sophisticated service in the middle of nowhere in Hokkaido. The staff are attentive, kind and polite, and there is literally nothing to complain about. While the bldg isn’t new by any means, it has been meticulously maintained. With this said, unfortunately, the location is going to be an issue if you aren’t either driving or comfortable taking taxis to go anywhere. It is not within walking distance of the transportation hubs, and the Aeon shopping mall 5 minutes away is the only commercial establishment in the area. So, you are pretty much stuck at the hotel unless you drive/take taxis. Although it is truly an amazing hotel, thus, the location can be a major drawback. As long as you are okay with its location, there won’t be a better hotel.

One of the best hotels on this planet. The breakfast options are phenomenal, the 5 restaurants within the hotel are amazing, but the moor spring onsen takes the cake. I always stay at hotel Hokkaido every time I visit Obihiro, with this being my 4th stay here.

モール温泉は気持ちです！ 夜ご飯のメニューもおすすめです。美味しい！よかったら食べてみて。帯広は綺麗な場所ですそして北海道ホテルは最高 For international travelers: This stay is outstanding! If possible, I also recommend their dinner menus. Obihiro is lovely place, and Hokkaido Hotel is best. Because of low frequency of international visitors, please take it easy. Understanding is important for great experiences.

ホテルの方がとても親切でした。 建物の古さは否めませんが、清潔感がありお掃除もしっかりされています。 時期的にあまりアクティビティは出来ませんでしたが、散歩したらリスがでてきたりと都会育ちの子供達にとって近隣の散歩はとても魅力的だったそうです。 朝食はつけませんでしたが、一階のパン屋さんで美味しいパンを頂きました。
