"I stayed for one night, as I had an early morning flight. You could see the hotel from the arrival hall. The direction to the hotel is well marked. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Terminal 1, which made the morning check-in process stress free. The hotel staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They also have an indoor swimming pool, which I really enjoyed after a train trip in a hot afternoon. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which is pretty good. The air conditioning works well...

"Lovely, well maintained Victorian building with staff who go the extra mile to be welcoming and helpful. Parking is available though limited. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with roomy en-suite baths. There is a lot of traffic on the nearby roads, so bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise."

"Stayed for one night, with my son, for a Mazda MX5 car meet up in the car park- the reason for our stay. The hotel is very nice. We had a meal in the Savvy Fox - i like the decor. The meal was very nice - but not cheap. The twin room was very basic, but was clean and adequate for a one night stay. The beds were very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. "This pub was a great find, lovely staff, great breakfast, parking easy and free. The history was amazing. The Gaskell tower is a must. We stayed in a heatwave , the room was warmer than expected, and we should have asked for a fan. The only slight problem, not the pubs fault, it is on the direct flight path for Manchester airport, they did stop flying between the hours of 11.30pm-6.00 am!!"
