"Beautiful hotel with past century charm, but modern in every way. This was an old Railroad era grand hotel. Rooms are huge with nice furniture. The staff could not have been better. Breakfast was excellent. Location is easy walking distance to pubs, stores, restaurants in downtown area. About 5 minutes drive to Killarney National Park. After having stayed 2 nights at Ashford Castle, I didn't think any other hotel could measure up. This one did."

"Absolutely lovely stay at Muckross Hotel. Great location outside of busy Killarney. Right at the trailhead for many beautiful walks; staff were lovely, room big and elegant; very comfortable bed and wonderful spa with big jet pool, steam, sauna, outside hot tub. Highly recommend!"

"The check-in was an indicator of how the stay would go. We were given room key and told it was straight down the corridor opposite the reception desk. It transpired that the room was almost at the furthest point one could be from the reception area and involved a number of changes of direction and finally a very steep and narrow staircase with literally no landing outside the room. It was well that we were both able bodied as it was a struggle to get our suitcases up the stairs. The...

"Very limited parking on site even though there was a pubic lot a block away. Sucked carrying luggage in the rain. Kind of loud from the street noise. Good proximity to all Shopping, eating amenities"
