The staff is extremely friendly and useful. The shower and overall layout are a bit old. The AC was not working on the first night. I had to insist for it to be fixed. Although the AC blew air, it was not coolind down the room. Aside from that, the water is magnificent, the hotel provides direct access to the beautiful blue water of Zanzibar and the staff is extremely friendly.

The hotel was in a ideal location. The views couldn’t get better, simply outstanding. The hotel is also in a perfect location for island hopping, snorkeling, and any water activity. It was no more than a 2-3 walk. The food selection was good. A lot of near by restaurants as well. However, there were some things that I didn’t like about the stay. The first and major was the mold and water residue in the shower. This is unacceptable for any leisure. Also, the constant harassment of Aroma Spa staff (around the corner of the hotel). I don’t understand why the hotel would allow them in to bother guests. It wasn’t a simple “would you like a massage” it was more pressure to get a massage and if you said no they would get bothered. I was enjoying the sun listening to music and had my eyes closed when a massage worker woke me up. Totally unacceptable. It’s not the first time they did this and they go at least x2 day going up to every guest. They even interrupt people while eating and hotel staff allow it. There were also cracks on the front door which would leave room for humidity and bugs to come in. The tile floor was lifting. The whole hotel needs a cosmetic repair.

I had an amazing stay at Zenobia Beach Resort. The service was excellent, and everyone was so kind and welcoming from the moment | arrived. The resort is right on the beach with a beautiful view, and the à la carte breakfast was a great start to each day. Glory, the hotel manager, was wonderful and made sure everything ran smoothly. I also want to mention Ali, our tour guide, was friendly and made my experience even better. My only complaint is it had bad water pressure

This property is situated in the heart of Nungwe beach so everything is walkable and convenient. Our room on the 2nd floor had an amazing view of the beautiful blue Indian ocean which I could never get tired of! The staff was kind and accommodating, and the restaurant had the best food! The rooms are a little outdated but everything was well maintained. I would stay here again.

Despite friendly staff and great food (as most places), this very outdated hotel is very much not recommended. Here’s why: The hotel states that it is “on the beach.” That is true only 50% of the time as the strong tides completely covers the beach at high tide. There is a very small, sand-covered patio-like area, but no beach at all at high tide; only a poor ladder and some steps leading directly into the ocean. Nearby beaches are either private or, if public, full of lots of people constantly asking you to buy various items or services. Two bars on either side of the hotel and sunset cruise boats all blast very, very loud pop/rock music over the entire area from around 3 to 8 pm. The room had one single thin sheet for a cover, no comforter. When we asked for a blanket, we got one very thin bed spread-like item, still not much given the fact that you have to have the a/c on at least a little for the heat. The safe in the room was an unfastened plastic box that weighed probably 1 or 2 kilos. Any thief could simply have lifted it out. The bathroom had only one very dim light bulb. Upon arrival after a very long, hot travel day, we were told, at 2:35 p.m. that check-in is at 3pm; no exceptions. This despite the room obviously being ready. Meaningless and inconsiderate! The hotel is very dated in all aspects. Avoid.

Fin

Rigtig fint ophold.

Nice location

The view and location is great, this is also the best part. The rooms are worn and our bathroom was humid and smelly all the time, even for African standard. Bed was not so comfortable. However it was clean and cleaned every day. No mosquito spray or preparation in the evening. We did not get laundry service even after asking many times. We ran out of toilet paper and it was not replaced by cleaning service. They also make you wear a silly resort bracelet for no reason. The breakfast is good and also the restaurant. The hotel has it's own diesel generator which comes in handy during all the frequent power outs. AC was good. I would also recommend the hotel to clean up the hotel road leading to the main gate. It is full of waste and does not give a good impression. All things considered we still liked it but there is some work some work to be done.

Great Place, staff try their best.

Overrall a good stay, the breakfast is not much to choose from, and is not the reason to pick this hotel. We upgraded to seaview room, witch was very nice with the terrasse right over the sea. they say all romm is sea view witch is correct in a way, as you can see the sea, but the lower cost rooms is having the sundeck to view over before you see the sea. but not a bad choice. i would stay there again
