"The bed was a little firm for me and the pillows were way to squishy for me, you had to double check door when leaving or entering that it fully shut with a click. Other then that it was great. Between me and my son we rated it a 4.8 out of 5 and would def stay again "
"The Staff and service were amazing! Free breakfast was delicious with several choices. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. One of the easiest check-in's I've ever experienced. Would highly recommend this hotel for several reasons, one of course being only a mile from Mohegan Sun Casino, with a shuttle service."

"Everything is "unique" about Captain Grant's!...The perfect hosts Carol and Ted; the ambience; the beautiful furnishings; the cozy room with all the amenities; the absolutely fabulous breakfast w/ mimosas, pancakes with real maple syrup and blueberry topping on a exquisitely, complete totally antique, setting table arrangement; all the available extras...beer, wine, coffee. tea, brandy in the room, etc. A most wonderful experience"
"We were greeted by host as soon as well drove in. The place was clean, smelled clean. I wish we had more time to explore the grounds. Very close to Foxwoods. The bed was great, comfy. Definitely will be back."

"It was a great stay. It was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and will certainly not be our last now with such a great experience we had at the House of 1833. Evan was an exceptional host/chef. He gave us a tour of the home and the history. The breakfast in the morning was incredible from the homemade apple cranberry muffin to the Greek Italian Mac & Cheese Spinach Souffle. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet, yet close to town place to stay. "
"The hotel is a short drive from downtown. The surrounding has several small plaza but it’s needed to drive there. The room and service is good. The breakfast choice is typical."
