"I just needed to get away and I came to CT and I loved this hotel. It was very clean which is the most important part of a hotel stay in my opinion. On top of it the hotel staff was kind, help, and accommodating. I asked for a pack and play for my baby and they set it up for me! The breakfast in the morning was decent. The pool was the highlight of the hotel. My baby loved it, and I like that there pool opens early and closes at 10. This was an incredible hotel, and I recommend staying here if...
"Everything is "unique" about Captain Grant's!...The perfect hosts Carol and Ted; the ambience; the beautiful furnishings; the cozy room with all the amenities; the absolutely fabulous breakfast w/ mimosas, pancakes with real maple syrup and blueberry topping on a exquisitely, complete totally antique, setting table arrangement; all the available extras...beer, wine, coffee. tea, brandy in the room, etc. A most wonderful experience"

Nightstand lamp did not work - nor did the outlets on the lamp - we told the desk about it.
Bathtub dangerously slippery because they put the shampoo and body wash containers opposite the faucet so it left slippery substance all over the tub bottom. If they had installed those on the same side as the faucet and showerhead (like other hotels I have gone to) - the water would rinse the residue...
"The beds and pillows are comfortable. There is ample parking. The people working at the hotel are super friendly. Shahid went above and beyond to correct a few issues I had with the room like a drain stopper and iron. This hotel is in the same parking lot as the Mystic Diner that has a great atmosphere and great food. Across the street is the Old Mystic Village shops which you can walk over to. I was planning to visit other parts of CT, but added an extra day because it was such a nice area. "
