"The front desk staff was friendly and helpful and they checked us in early. The room itself is tastefully decorated and spacious. Compared to other places, it was very quiet (but there was no event on the stadium at the time). The breakfast was very diverse and filling. I would stay here again."

"The hotel was in a great location. We were able to walk to a lot of the places we wanted to see and the activities we planned. The breakfast was delicious. There was always a wide variety of options. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Amerikalinjen for your stay in Oslo."

"The worst part about this place is that you eventually have to leave. It was the most delightful experience and I hope to be back. The saunas and experiences were 5 stars. Loved the pools, facilities, ritual experiences, and rooms. The bed felt like a cloud! The breakfast was delish. The well burger is the best burger I’ve ever had. Simply delightful."

"For most this will be a non issue, but the TVs are quite old, and they have overhauled them with their own hotel interface, unfortunately for a tech head like me it made it harder to connect devices. They have Chromecast, but you'd better prey your device has it. The safe wouldnt work, and even the phone in the room (the style over substance red phone) would ring but when you picked up it wouldn't answer. The smart tech in the room seemed to have a life of its own, opening and shutting blinds...

"Breakfast was outstanding. Front staff were very accommodating. There is a service staff strike going on. Had to ask for towels, soap, toilet paper, etc. It felt like a problem if you asked for the room to be cleaned. We didn’t."

"Great breakfast, good veg options as well. Pancakes and the chocolate spread ....chefs kiss! Location was great, near Oslo central station and short walk to the Opera house. 7-11 literally across the street. Only small complaint is the shower as typical Euro style, the door doesn't fully enclose so a bit of water splashes out. First world problem though. Loved th front desk staff, very nice and helpful"

"Had hairs in the bathroom (a real ike of mine)... room was a little tired, noise from adjacent bar was disturbing. Bars were all closed in the Hotel due to a strike... no ambience."
