"Highly recommend - it was the most beautiful place we stayed at during our Norway visit. Our property was right on the Oppstrynsvatnet lake. The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and had all amenities - full kitchen, dining, iron, hair dryer. The house also had an in-house sauna in addition to a Panaroma sauna on the property. "No staff no contact with anyone i guess that's the policy. It's strange to use for the first time. We had a beautiful view from our room. Would i use again 🤔 probably not Went outside after hours and couldn't get back into the property. Luckily my friend was inside to let me back in."

"Cruise ships were parked in front of hotel most of the time. So instead of seeing the fjords, you see a cruise ship. The ship left at 9pm but another was back at 630 am. Difficult to find where to check in. When asking employees where to check in they snapped “reception “ and were very annoyed I didn’t know where that was. There is no place to park when checking in. "Driving into Hjelle through the lakeside tunnel was magical. This repurposed schoolhouse was a fantastic place to experience old-world Norwegian living. Loved the nook beds and touches of history. The modern bath and kitchen were integrated well. The property manager was kind and helpful - he let us know when the early snowfall unexpectedly closed down the mountain pass. Was a great site to just relax and enjoy!"
