This is a gorgeous, elegant, clean hotel. The rooms were quite large and they have both western and Japanese style rooms.
We had a western style room with regular beds and a shower. The friends we were traveling with had a Japanese style room with tatami mats, futon for sleeping, and a bathtub for soaking.
I would have liked to experience the Japanese style room, but no option to choose was offered. Assignment to the “type” of room seems to have been random. I was a little disappointed by that but still our room was very nice.
This hotel has an amazing onsen with multiple “pools” with different mineral composition for various health benefits.
Checkout was rather early (10:00 am) which made us feel rushed - we barely had time for breakfast.
And there was no casual cafe for breakfast on the property, by the way. We had to go to a neighboring hotel because we were “too late” for breakfast in their dining room (we got there at 8:15 and breakfast “closed” at 8:30) so they would not accommodate us. I felt that was a bit rigid and rather inhospitable as there were no other breakfast options in the hotel.
This hotel is in walking distance of Noboribetsu’s famed “Hell Valley.”
