"The twin room had a two-seater sofa in-between the twin beds, which was very helpful for various uses, besides relaxing. The free breakfast was a simple yet nutritous offering that included juice, cofffee, miso soup as well as rice balls and various side dishes. Employees including reception and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful."
"The location was a bit far from the station but was one that fit my budget for a place to sleep for a single night. The hotel staff in the lobby were excellent. One gentleman helped me call a taxi upon my request and helped to translate where I was going next. All of their staff spoke some English as well which was helpful for someone who spoke minimal Japanese. It seemed like a more old fashioned style hotel, but I was unimpressed by the bathroom fixtures because they looked old (yellowed, and cracking plastic or rusted metal). Other than that, the room was spacious for a single traveler and I appreciated that immensely. A similarly priced room at that price point would be half the size for the same bedroom. A/C also took a while to 'rev up' which I attribute to the age of the system. But after it ran for a while the room maintained itself fine. Also, there was a AEON big basket right next door which was phenomenal for me because they sold fresh produce and convenience items."
